● Scan the titles to identify some of the current fashions and buzz words. Which of these buzz phrases have you heard of or experienced in your own organization?

● If you have time, buy a management book or borrow one from the library. Look at the rhetoric used, such as dramatic turnaround case studies or a confi dent affi rmative tone, and see what convinces you.

● Talk to someone who has worked in a large organization for more than a decade and ask them what management fashions or trends they experienced and how they feel when a leader announces a new one.
