Solid iodine, I 2 (s), at 25.0C has an enthalpy of sublimation of 56.30 kJ mol 1

Question:

Solid iodine, I2(s), at 25.0°C has an enthalpy of sublimation of 56.30 kJ mol−1. The CP,m of the vapor and solid phases at that temperature are 36.9 and 54.4 J K−1 mol−1, respectively. The sublimation pressure at 25.0°C is 0.30844 Torr. Calculate the sublimation pressure of the solid at the melting point (113.6°C) assuming

a. that the enthalpy of sublimation and the heat capacities do not change with temperature.

b. that the enthalpy of sublimation at temperature T can be calculated from the equation ΔH sublimation (T) (T)ΔH sublimation = ΔH sublimation (T0) + ΔCP(T – T0) and ΔCP does not change with T.
