Homejoy Products is the UK subsidiary of the European Schoenheim Group, whose headquarters are in Frankfurt. Homejoy’s UK sites and operations are summarized below:

Bletchley factory employing 600 people. Manufactures washing-up liquid and household cleaners which are sold via shops and supermarkets under the Homejoy brand and as supermarket own-brand products. Sales of products manufactured in Bletchley in 1994 accounted for 55 per cent of Homejoy’s turnover — £6.6m.

Cambridge factory employing 250 people. Manufactures detergents and dishwasher powder, both under the Homejoy brand and as supermarket ownbrands. Sales of Cambridge products were £3.6m in 1994.

Dundee factory employing 100 people. Manufactures industrial cleaning agents and solvents which are sold direct to end-users. Sales were £1.8m in 1994.

Evesham distribution depot employing 35 people. The company’s fleet of 15 lorries, used for distributing products to customers, operates from here, and the site also contains the distribution warehouse.

Faversham, Homejoy’s head office, employing 120 people.................
