Divide into small groups. Each group member, working alone at first, is to identify an emotion that he or she felt at one time on a job. Name the emotion. Identify the relevant object or objects, the relevant cognitions (beliefs, thoughts) and the nature of the value appraisal(s) that caused the emotion. Each member then presents his or her analysis to the other group members. One member from each group could be elected to present one example to the whole class, if they are willing.
