• Allow time for interaction with the audience, if appropriate. Ask if there are any questions. You should state at the beginning of your presentation whether there will be time for questions at the end of the presentation or whether the audience can interrupt with questions during the presentation.

The latter option can be risky if you have a fixed time slot or an agenda to complete. However, if it is a presentation to a customer conducted in a small meeting room, responding to questions on the fly may be more appropriate than expecting the customer to hold all questions until the end of the presentation.

In fact, part of your presentation strategy may be to draw the customer into a discussion to elicit her or his reactions or opinions.
