Although governments have long supported the goal of equal pay for work of equal value, eliminating wage discrimination has proven to be extremely challenging. Identify some of the impediments to promoting pay equity and assess whether the Public Sector Equitable Compensation Act has addressed the limitations of the previous legislative approach to pay equity.
