When discussing the FQHE anyon as a statistical gauge delta function flux added to the quasiparticles, we argued that for the electromagnetic field \(F_{\mu u}\) to be a delta function is unphysical because of flux conservation. But why then is it OK for the statistical \(f_{\mu u}\) to be a delta function?
