Transaction support - monitoring daily activities - operational level

Decision Support - mix of automated and manual - managerial

Executive Information systems-strategic -Mission level

This is a useful distinction in understanding the importance of integrated systems.

Can you identify and categorize the systems in your own organization? Are these systems integrated into their processes?

What about organizations who's product is the technology? Do they also rely on the same categories?
