My Professional Goals

I choose to major in human services because I have a strong desire to support others and give them the tools and advice they need to find stability and hope. My career aspirations are to work closely with people and families to offer complete support as a social worker and eventually as a therapist. I intend to first earn my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services with a focus in Social Work in order to achieve my aim. After that, I'll seek a Master's in Social Work along with any certifications and licenses that are required. Something that really interests me is working with children and young adults who are struggling with issues related to their mental health, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. I aim to provide individualand family therapy, case management, and community outreach in order to support thesepeople in overcoming the challenges they face and accomplishing the goals they have set forthemselves.Working with children and adolescents would be the focus of my ideal professionalposition. Working with families who are finding it difficult to manage life's complexity and giving them the tools and direction they require to find stability and hope is something I'minterested in. I am aware that this demographic has a wide range of needs, from case management and health navigation to family therapy and mental health counseling. My ability to offer the proper services to people and families in need is crucial. Due to my patience, empathy, and understanding, I think I am a good fit to deal with this group. My multicultural up bringing has aided in my development of a strong cultural competency for working with people from different backgrounds and experiences. I also have excellent people skills and can establish trust with both individuals and families. These qualities will me develop into the greatest professional I can be, together with my educational goals and commitment to improving the lives of others who are in need.
