The initial rate data, given in Table $11-9$ as $(-d\frac{P_A}{d}t),$ have been determined

for the gas phase reaction $A+2BC.$ It can be assumed that the rate expres$-$

sion is of the form

where $k$ is the reaction rate coefficient, $$ is the reaction order with respect to $A,$

and $$ is the reaction order with respect to $B.$

$($b$)$ Set the orders of reaction to integer or simple fractional values on the

basis of part $($a$)$ and then determine the corresponding value of $k$ and
