1) Are the starting absorbance of the two reactions the same? Why are they the same or different?

2)Is the determination of the reaction order affected by when you started recording the absorbance? For example, you might start the absorbance measurements 5 seconds after mixing all reactants in reaction 1 and 30 seconds in reaction 2. Is it still correct to use these data to determine x and y?
