1. Assume yourself as a long-term investor, you had RO 1000 in 1 January 2019. You have to choose one company from the chemical industry in the Muscat securities market and invested this amount on 1st January 2019. After one year, i.e on 1 January 2020 you have decided to sell the shares purchased one year before. You have sold the shares on 30th January 2020 at the market price as on that date.

You are required to :

a. Calculate the rate of return on your investment including dividend if paid by the company during this period.

b. Would you have made a higher profit if you would have sold the shares before 30th January 2020? If yes, when would have sold the shares and what would have been the rate of return at that time. If No, please provide the price of the share as on 1 day of every month. (5 Marks)
