1. Choose a company with three-year financial information (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement). You can refer to any publicly available information on finance websites. Students have a choice to either present their case analysis in writing or schedule an oral presentation. Oral presentation/video recording will require PowerPoint or handouts etc. for submission purposes. Maximum 4 students in each group. Submission should include clear and equal distribution of task. 2. Prepare an analysis of each base company and include the following information: - Analysis of company and industry covering-Calculation of the following ratios for the past 3 years: current, cash, inventory turnover, DSO, fixed asset turnover, total asset turnover, total debt to assets, operating margin, profit margin, operating cash flow to net income, ROA,ROE, - An overview of the nature of the operations. - Any significant changes that have taken place over the last few years. - Their plans for the future. - The risk factors that they face. - How they account for inventories and depreciation on fixed assets - An update on any recent news related to the companies. - Identify two items not included in (or derived from) the financial statements that you think would be important to someone considering whether to invest in the company.
