1) Choose a person. The person could be yourself, a friend, family, celebrity, mentor, historical person, etc.And find out how old that person is or would be (if he or she is no longer alive).

2) Explain the significance of that person.Why did you chose this individual?

3) Now for the business part of this discussion. How might someone use that function for a business situation?(maybe using the function within a formula as part of another calculation).

A useful Excel function is DATEDIF. This formula will calculate the difference between 2 dates.

=DATEDIF(StartDate, EndDate, Interval)

The interval can be Y, M, D, YM, MD and YD.

Example: If you were born on January 5, 1988 and you want to know how old you are as of February 4, 2019, then just copy and paste the following in a cell in Excel and press enter

=DATEDIF("05-Jan-1988","04-Feb-2019","Y")
