Click on File - Make a Copy. Rename the file so it includes your first and last name, then click OK. 3. The spreadsheet includes minimum wage data for all 50 states in the U.S., plus Washington D.C. First you will create a histogram to show the shape of the distribution of the minimum wage variable. a. Highlight the entire 2022 Minimum Wage column (cells B1-B52). b. Click on Insert - Chart. The Chart Editor will appear on the right side of your screen. C. Under Chart Type, change the selection to Histogram Chart (you will need to scroll down to the second option in the "other" section). d. Next click Customise, then click Chart & axis titles. Change the chart title to "2022 Minimum Wage by State" e. Switch the dropdown menu from Chart title to Horizontal axis title. Change the horizontal axis title to "2022 minimum wage ($)" f. Lastly, change the vertical axis title to "Number of states" 4. Next we compute some summary statistics. You will enter your formulas in the light purple cells, then click enter to see the cell autofill with the desired calculation. a. To find the mean: =average(B2:B52) b.
