1) Compare and contrast the "traditional safety techniques" still used in many organizations (i.e. enforcement, rules, manuals, etc...) with the "modern safety management methods" used by world class safety performers (i.e. Metrics, Accountability, Score Cards, etc...). Question 2) Explain how measuring safety performance has changed since we started using "modern safety management methods". What are some things that you could measure to determine if your safety management is effective on your jobsite? (Hint: Don't focus on Lagging Indicators like incidents. Instead focus on leading indicators of safety performance)
