Now, suppose that new laws allow prisoners to obtain paid jobs to produce goods in a factory within the prison, while the cooking and cleaning jobs are now outsourced to external paid workers. 3- In 1942, the US implemented regulations prohibiting the sale of garments by workers who sewed, stitched, and knitted in their homes. If these prohibitions were removed so that businesses could buy clothing made in factories or by independent workers in their homes, what effect would this have on the labor demand curve for factory workers in the clothing industry?
