1. Digital Image and video editing allow nonprofessional multimedia producers to restore or adjust the color of original monochromatic images. Optimization over an entire video will be very slow because video data appear in a 3-D space. The parallel implementation on graphics hardware is also facilitated to achieve real-time performance of color optimization. The major observation is color propagation assigns similar pixels with similar colors, video colorization constitutes a smooth function in a higher-dimensional pixel feature space rather than in a video space. This function is approximated with spatio-temporal pixel subgraphs in the feature space. i) Design and Develop a Graphical User Interface (GUI) using Matlab for Image and video colorization (25 Marks) ii) Demonstrate the proposed Parallel optimization approach for video colorization with gabor feature space in producing high-quality colorized videos. (25 Marks) iii) Discuss your observation with subjective analysis for the obtained results of image and video colorization. (10 Marks)
