1. Do some quick research about New York Courts. What is unique about how the courts are titled as compared to most other state courts in the country? New York has one of the highest population of people in the U.S. and on top of that also has a lot of crimes and cases. What makes New York Courts different compared to other states is that due to there being so many people and cases, they have both city courts and state courts in the 5 boroughs of New York. The Supreme Court is a trial court and is a \"single great tribunal of general state-wide jurisdiction" rather than it being separated in an abundance of different counties and jurisdiction districts in the state. The Court of Appeals is the highest court of the state of New York as well as the New York Supreme Court being the oldest Supreme Court with general original jurisdiction
