2. Situation Analysis (Internal and External)
Using the relevant analytical tools, conduct an analysis of both the internal and external environment as presented in the case.
Relevant analytical tools can include PESTEL, SWOT, Stakeholder mapping, Porters Competitive Forces Analysis, BCG matrix, strategic capabilities, strategic resource, positioning analysis, etc.

3. Primary Problem(s)
Based on the strategic analysis, describe what you believe is the primary problem facing the organization.
Use specific references to the case to support your argument. Be careful not to confuse symptoms with the core problem. If more than one key problem exists, make an argument for the one having the biggest impact.
There will usually only be one, or at most two, core problems facing the organization in the cases selected for this course. You can tell what these are, as, when they are solved, solutions for all the other issues are resolved.
4. Alternatives Analysis
Come up with solutions to solve the core problem (s). Explain how each solution could potentially solve the problem. Be very specific as to the potential implications (both strengths and weaknesses) of each solution using examples and data from the case.
List more than one alternative you considered to solve the strategic problem(s). In the past, student direction has been to develop 3-4 alternatives.
o There are rarely that many realistic alternatives available BUT there is always more than one solution you considered.
