[1] Esha can finally breathe. She had to take three times her Legal Aspects of the Financial Sector course, but she has finally graduated from CGIM as a Financial Security Advise! [2] Succeeding the modules 2, 3 and 4 of the examination process, she has again trouble with the Law module. Yet again, she needs three attempts (she fails the first two attempts but succeeds the third!) After going through the AMF examination three times: she finally receives her temporary certification. She is very happy. As she decides to work as her own boss and work by herself, she will keep her job as a restaurant waitress until she has enough client to work full-time as a financial security adviser. As a restaurant worker is not part of the forbidden employment list, she is allowed to work as a waitress without notifying the AMF.

[3] She meets Alan who agrees to be her probationary period supervisor. Esha is a bit worried: Alan is an independent representative and is not supposed to work with other representatives. Alan reassures Esha: it is only a question of past disciplinary records and as he has none, he can be Eshas supervisor with no issues.

[4] So, Esha starts to work with Alan on an everyday basis. After 8 weeks, however, Esha has an issue and needs to go back to India for 1 week. Alan agrees to this exception and advises the AMF. While away, Esha likes staying with her family, so she sends an email to Alan saying she will stay a week longer in India, because she felt sick. Alan agrees if she brings back a doctors note. Esha says that she will find a doctor in India with no issue.

[5] So after 3 weeks, Esha is back and finishes the 4 remaining weeks of her probationary period. Alan is satisfied with her work and has, on a weekly basis, informed the AMF of Eshas progress. In the end, Alan sends a recommendation of approbation and all certification papers to the AMF. Alan then tells Esha that once AMF has received his papers, they will send her her full certification within 10 days.

[6] Now that she will be fully certified, Esha prepares her office. She will be working from home as an independent representative. Because Alan liked her a lot, however, Alan asks Esha if she agrees to build a partnership with him for group insurance products and services. Thus, they would each keep their businesses separately for personal products and would have a business together for group insurance products and services. Without signing, they both agrees over the phone that they will proceed that way, sharing 50%/50% all profits, debts, and expenses. They both agree to share their commissions even for personal products, even if not in the partnership, for 20% of every referral.

[7] Esha buys herself a brand-new computer to work from home. Having not a lot of money, she takes a very basic computer with Office on it. As she learnt Business administration computing in college, she decides to put all her business information and registries in a single Excel file, protected by a password, each registry being a sheet tab.

[8] As they are not a lot of space in her computer, having bought a very basic one, she creates a script in the Excel file that automatically deletes all information 5 years after it was entered, so the entries would prune themselves automatically. Now that her Excel sheet is protected by a password, she does not fill the need to put a password on the computer as well.

[9] She signs a contract takes a contract for her professional liability insurance of 500,000$, with a deductible of 10,000$ with Insurall Inc. Having finished subscribing to her liability insurance, she is now ready to take her first client. How exciting. She completes registration with the AMF, then open a business account for the company.
