1. Find a small business that maintains an active social media presence 2. Write a one to two paragraph description of a. What the business does/sells? b. Where it is located? c. Who its clientele is? d. How long it has been in operation e. Etc 3. Contact the business owner and ask if you can conduct a five to ten-minute video interview with him or her about the social media marketing the company engages in. Give the owner your assurance that the video interview will only be utilized for in-class purposes. 4. Interview the small business owner and find out a. Which social media platform(s) he or she uses b. Which platform(s) he or she uses most often c. What social media strategies he or she has in place? d. What kind of success he or she has had with those social media strategies? e. Which social media platform(s) he or she does not use and why? OR Which social media platform(s) he or she has, but underutilizes and why f. *Feel free to ask any follow-up questions that you feel are necessary during the interview.
