1. For this discussion board post, I want you to post your research questions and the pertinent info you have located for the research locations for your recommendation report regarding the placement of your headquarters (one hundred fifty-two hundred words). When you are responding to a student from another group this week (Fifty-One Hundred words), you should come up with at least one factor/research question that they may have missed and argue why they should include it in their research.

2. For this discussion board post, I want you to do something a little different. I want you to look around a community you are part of - this could be where you live, it could be a religious community, a community centered around a hobby, a team, a club at the college, the college itself, etc. - and determine a problem or issue in your chosen community. For example, in the city in which I live, Broward County recently stopped recycling (they took our recycling cans away and told us to just throw away recyclable materials). For me, this is a problem (I now must drive my recycling to city hall, which offsets the benefit of recycling for the most part).

Once you have identified which issue you plan to discuss, tell us what it is, and explain why it is so important to you. Please note that while you can use a community that is personal to you, you cannot present ideas that might be upsetting or degrading to others. Once you have identified the issue and explained why it is important and your interest in solving it as a problem, I want you to use the AIDA model and draft a brief outline that explains how you would utilize AIDA to draft either a written or spoken call to action to help solve the issue.

3. What is it: A video recording of your presentation on a community issue using the AIDA format.

Purpose: The purpose is to practice presenting information about which you are passionate utilizing the AIDA format that is common in business in a very short time frame.

Goals: You need to distill your argument (and its pieces in AIDA) into a short-form presentation that lasts no more than 3 minutes.

4.

  1. Summarize the duty to bargain and how it flows with contract administration.
  2. Explain what the balance is in the power between labor and management, including the recognition of unfair labor practices by unions.
  3. Find one recent news article related to ethics and labor and management What is the ethical dilemma? Why do you think the businesses, managers, and/or employees behaved in an ethical or unethical manner?

Please explain each question with examples and please cite your findings.
