1. Gather materials. 2. Measure 50 ml of hot water and 50 ml of cold water into separate cups. 3. Use a thermometer to measure the temperature of hot water and the cold water. Record your prediction for the final temperatures. 4. Pour the hot and cold water into a third cup. 5. Allow some time for the thermometer to reach a final temperature, then measure the temperature of the water. Record the temperature in the data table. 6. Repeat for a total of three trials.
