1. George Goodwin was a general dealer in merchandise of all kinds. He made a speciality of traveling through New Jersey and purchasing farm products and other articles from farmers. He visited the farm of John Sawyer where he entered into a verbal agreement with Sawyer to purchase the following articles: (a) 550 bushels of potatoes at $1.00 a bushel, and (b) a field of sugar com for $300 to be harvested by Goodwin within ten days. Goodwin took 40 bushels of potatoes with him and agreed to remove the balance within ten days. The day after making the agreement Sawyer was offered a higher price for the articles by one Wilson and refused to sell to Goodwin. Goodwin sued Sawyer for breach of contract. Sawyer's defense was the Statute of Frauds. Decide each case separately
