1) Go to www.sec.gov/edgar and find a company that you have interest in.(Ensure you sign up
your company name on the group sign up sheet so no two groups choose the same company.)
Click on Search for Company Filings.
Click on Search by: Company Name, Ticker Symbol etc. Enter a company name. (If you simply
type in the first alphabet you will find a list of company names beginning with the alphabet).
Example: Enter L and you will see Lowes. Choose the company and when taken to the page
click on Annual Reports.
Choose the most recent annual report. Then look for Financial Statements ie. Balance Sheet,
Statement of Operations etc.
Example: Click on Consolidated Balance Sheet to retrieve all Balance Sheet Information. You
will see a Balance Sheet and you will use this and other relevant information to prepare your
analysis, answer the questions, and plan your presentation.
