  • 1. How do you think the culture that is described below is likely to affect employees and their behaviors?
  • 2. What sort of individual would be the best fit with this organization?

Organizational culture is an organization's set of values, and these values affect how its members collaborate and communicate. The firm Sephora is one that I am familiar with. I've worked for the company for five years, and I think I have a solid grasp of its culture. Sephora is an inclusive workplace that values diversity and respects individuality. They openly permit you to express yourself anyway you would want with your makeup, given my personal experience working at the organization. You need to be a quick learner, have good teamwork abilities, and have great interpersonal skills to work at Sephora. Having a pleasant environment is one of Sephora's beliefs, and staff members must be prepared to help any customer. Working for this company has shown me that the staff members are friendly to one another and very supportive of one another's efforts to learn new skills and aid one another. The values that are expected of the staff members there, in my opinion, have an impact on how they engage with one another and with clients who need help. The name tag worn by staff, which contains their job titles and specialties, is an example of a sign used by the business. The friendly body language used in this organization is an illustration of language used to communicate its culture. Speaking to coworkers and customers in a courteous manner and being available to help the team and customers when needed are some examples of language used in the organization. The manner customers are greeted is one of the artifacts that the company uses to communicate its culture. Each customer who enters the store is greeted by an employee who has been trained to ask whether they need any help. These illustrations of the symbols, terminology, and artifacts employed by the institution, in my opinion, effectively convey the culture of that organization.
