1. If youve used any type of compute device, then youve interacted with an operating system (OS). Beyond a traditional desktop computer, identify one of these devices and describe its OS from a very high level. What is its shell like? How does it receive user input? Research and identify what it uses for a kernel. Be creative; remember that any device with a CPU has some type of OS.

2. Weve identified four licensing models for software (Open Source, Closed Source, Freeware, and Shareware). Research and identify a current software product from each of these categories.Can a software product belong to more than one category? If so, then give an example. Can the licensing model ever change for a software product? If so, explain.
