1. Log into a social network account that you use (or have in the past used) on a regular basis. Find the section in your account profile that lists all the people/pages/groups that you follow or have 'liked' (or whatever makes sense for the network you've chosen). For example, in Facebook, click on your profile then go to the About tab. If you scroll down you'll see all the pages you've 'liked' near the bottom. Once you've found your repository of 'likes' scroll through it with a critical eye - how many of them are representative of how you think of yourself today. Are there any that you had forgotten about, or that you would like to disassociate from? Are there any that you think are missing? What do you think your 'likes' say about you? Summarize your findings

2. Identify a social group that you are a part of and that you have an current interest in. This group could be resident on a social network, or elsewhere, but should be relatively active and you should be reasonably aware of their activities. What motivates you to be part of this group? How do you typically engage with the group (i.e. are you a 'lurker', or a regular contributor, or something in between?) Consider the impulses discussed in chapter 2 of the textbook - which of these is most relevant to your participation in your chosen group?

3. Have you ever Googled yourself? Trying Googling your name to see what comes up. Also try different combinations (include any additional names you might have - for example in North America most people have a 'middle' name they don't often use). Try Googling your name in quotations (i.e. "Justin Bieber" - as this will search for the phrase "Justin Bieber" as opposed to the individual terms "Justin" and "Bieber"). Try a different search engine to see if there are any differences - i.e. Bing or DuckDuckGo. How do you feel about what you found in relation to privacy rights? Was there anything surprising about the search results? How would you feel if these searches resulted in a lot of your personal information appearing in top search results?
