1. Major summary: outline is provided below.

2. Itinerary: timeline for the entire major presentation must be included. This includes visuals to be used, sections to be covered, time allocated for each. Follow the example passed around in class. 1 page maximum.

3. Order Form/ Sales Form: that will be used to secure a sale. The purchase order must be specific to your company, i.e. must include your company name. 1 page maximum.

4. Company History: 1 page, must be single spaced. Do not cut and paste from the Internet.

Any student who cuts and pastes from the internet will lose 50% of the

major portfolio mark.

5. Product pricing: product prices and sizes must be clearly identified.

6. Closing: Refer to the Futrell Text, ABCs of Selling. List the 10 methods to close a sale.

Students will discuss 4 of the closing methods and pick 1 method that will be used in

their presentation.

7. Visuals: The Portfolio must include actual visuals that will be used in the major presentation.

8. Email protocol: file is posted on my Blackboard site.

9. This document must be included in the major portfolio.

Failure to comply with any of the items identified in this document will result in marks being deducted from the major portfolio. The major portfolio must be submitted to the Professor in a folder or binder.

Marks will be deducted if any of the items listed above are missing. Students who do not submit the portfolio on the due date and time will receive a grade of ZERO and will lose 5 marks /day from their major presentation for each subsequent day late. Marks will be deducted for typos/spelling and grammar errors.

All items in the major portfolio and major summary must be typed using 12 point font. Students who do not comply will lose up to 5 marks from the major portfolio.

Major Portfolio: (subject to change due to class size)

Students must bring in their company sign on this day. Company signs must be at least the size of a full sheet of Bristol board 2 feet x 3 feet. Students who do not comply with this will have 10 marks deducted from their major presentation.
