1. On board of your spacecraft, you run a sun sensor with six eyes. The eyes are oriented parallel and anti-paralel to the body-axis of the spacecraft. In the intertial frame, the sun is located along the x-axis. The body frame is oriented in a 3-2-1 Euler angle sequence of 10, 25 and 30 degrees, relative to the inertial frame, respectively. (a) Write out the sun vector in the inertial frame and in the body frame. Write out the normal directions of the eyes in the body frame. What are the currents relative to Imax for each of the eyes? (b) Assume that each eye has an accuracy of 5 degrees and the error is normal distributed. Simulate the measurements and recover the sun direction in the body frame. Compare to the exact result and comment on the findings. Include all intermediate steps and comment on all your calculations.
