1. On the Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), a traffic accident occurred at 8:40 am, and 4 lanes out of 8 lanes were blocked for 40 minutes, and 2 blocked lanes were partially open from 9:20 AM and all lanes were fully restored at 10:05 AM. However, the RTA blocked the two lanes due to the distress on the pavement from 11:10 AM to 11:40 AM to repair a pavement surface. Using a discrete method for the queue study, determine the time of the queue dissipation, and maximum queue length in meter. The discharge rate of the lane is 1800 veh/h/In. The average spacing between vehicles at congested condition is 10 meters. The traffic demand on this highway was observed as follows: 8 AM - 9AM: 16,000 vehicles 9 AM - 10 AM: 17,000 vehicles 10 AM - 11 AM: 15,000 vehicles 11 AM - 12 PM: 12,000 vehicles 12 PM - the rest of the day: 9,000 vehicles
