1. One recommendation for dealing with the problem of deceptive interrogation techniques is to videotape all interrogation sessions, so that the jury could judge whether confessions were genuine, and a judge could decide whether a confes- sion was obtained under coercive circumstances (and so should not be admitted as evidence). Should videotaping be required? Would that solve the problem?
