(1 point) Sheriff Rick wrote a speeding ticket to Dangerous Doug. Dangerous Doug claims Rick cannot prove he was ever speeding. Here is what happened. Dangerous Doug drove through a toll booth at 4:00PM on January 27th. At 4:45 PM the same day Dangerous Doug drove through another toll-booth on the opposite end of the tollway. The tollway stretches for 47 miles and has a speed limit of 60 mph. Sheriff Rick has stated that he cannot explain how, but his gut feeling says that Dangerous Doug must have been speeding at some point. Dangerous Doug says that since Sheriff rick never clocked him going faster than 60 mph there is no way to prove he was speeding. a) Find a speed in miles per hour that Dangerous Doug must have been driving between the two toll booths. Speed: miles per hour b) Based on your answer to part (a), is Rick's gut feeling correct?|
