Sample Investigation Plan Format

You may copy the format of this plan for your Investigation Plan. Keep your facts simple. While the facts lead you to information, they are not the main point of the Plan. The essential parts of the Plan are underneath the Fact Summary,as demonstrated below. Each category (witnesses, documents, physical evidence, and media) has a resource next to it that suggests where the information can be found. Additionally, your Plan must include documents that the attorney needs to file. Once a document is filed, it can be crossed off the list (as seen below). A quick look at the list of documents to file should update anyone on the status of the case. Further, as court dates are set, they can be added to the list.
