In the first week on the job Jon was introduced to several other coworkers. Initially, he was shy and often spent his breaks and lunch at his desk. However, after a few weeks on the job, Jon became more relaxed and sociable. One Friday afternoon, Jon was asked to join a group of coworkers for happy hour. The group was to go to a local lounge and get a bite and shoot pool. “The night went well,” Jon thought as he headed home. In reflecting on the night’s events, Jon came to the conclusion that he had officially found a group to which he belonged, one in which they all shared common interests, likes, and dislikes.
