1. Read the two vignettes presented in your textbook, pages 54 to 64: Nova Corporation and the Laguna Development Corporation.

2. Visit the websites for each. (see the links below) Gain as much information as you can from their sites.

3. Finally, visit the website for the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA). (see link embedded below).

4. For each group, try to determine what the mandate, mission, social responsibility, and About Us and/or History pages say about how the organization is managed.

5. Then answer the following questions:

1. What does each group's mission and/or mandate appear to be?
2. What are the similarities and difference between all three organizations?
3. How do these reflect Indigenous Ways of Knowing (IWOK) we learned about so far?
4. What, if any, contradictions do you see between IWOK and the activities of these groups?
5. How do you think IWOK informs or affects the decisions managers in these organizations make?

6. Each student must submit their answers. Answers to each question should be clearly labelled. Answers must be in complete sentences and easily readable.

7. Students must submit the assignment using the submission tab.

8. Each submission must submit between 500-750 total. Students must submit their assignment in a word document or editable pdf. No other files will be accepted.
