Observation cover seet interview the chosen child's parents (or teacher who is familiar with the child) to gather information on the child's background which you think might be relevant and useful for you to learn more about the child's gross or fine motor development. write the rationale for observation to explain the reasons for choosing this particular child and aim of observation. 2. Designing a checklist (1-2 pg) Design checklist of gross and fine motor skills (physical development) for a child between 2 to 6 years old. You need to design one checklist for the child. Limit to minimum 8 items for each gross motor and fine motor skills in the checklist. Remember to include all appropriate headings for your checklist. 3. Interpretation and evaluation (2-3 pg) required to interpret and evaluate the child's development based on the observation data and the information on the cover seet relevant theories and research evidences and linking them to the observation data. consider the child's life experiences (background information) in your evaluation. 4. Personal Reflection (individual work) (1 full pge for each student) State four pints about what you learned. Reflect on experience of these tasks of evaluating a child's behavior/ development, the importance of the child's background information and having a good understanding of child development for a fair evaluation of the child. reflect on the importance of observation, your observational skills and the methods of observation used (e.g. comparing and contrasting the different methods)
