Hi everyone! I'm Laf, short for Lafeisha, and I'm thrilled to be part of this course with all of you. I hail from the picturesque island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, nestled in the heart of the Caribbean, and I currently reside in our vibrant capital city, Kingstown.
In my academic journey, I'm pursuing a Business Management major with a Marketing minor. I've always been captivated by the intricate workings of businesses—how they adapt and thrive in our rapidly changing world. Marketing adds that creative and innovative flair to my studies.
Beyond the classroom, I'm a fervent nature enthusiast. Growing up in St. Vincent has fostered a deep love for our lush landscapes, pristine waters, and awe-inspiring beaches. I relish spending evenings at the beach, and witnessing the breathtaking sunset as it kisses the horizon.
During my leisure hours, you'll find me embracing an active lifestyle: exploring scenic trails, going for runs, engaging in volleyball matches, or indulging my passion for car racing.
Additionally, I'm a proud single parent to a delightful 11-year-old daughter, and we cherish our moments with loved ones. I'm also a dedicated animal lover and boast a mini menagerie at home, including two dogs, six bunnies, and numerous cats.
Regarding this course, my aim is to acquire a robust understanding of financial concepts, enhance my financial literacy, and prepare for careers in finance or business decision-making. I eagerly anticipate engaging with my fellow classmates and learning from their valuable experiences and perspectives. Let's embark on this educational journey together!

Hello Professor Yagnik and class,

My name is Nyah and I am a native New Yorker! I'm thankful the inner city has taught me how to navigate in a fast paced environment while also having an increased sense of awareness. However, I am eventually looking to move to a more suburban and slower paced environment with my family. I am a returning student looking to finish my B.B.A. in Business Management in 2024. It's been a long road but there's always light at the end of the tunnel. I enjoy reading, trying new restaurants, learning, spending time with my family and traveling to new places. I've most recently visited Medellin, Colombia and had the most wonderful experience with the locals surrounded by nature. I also have a toddler who keeps me on my toes. I love spending time with her watching her grow and develop as a little human being. My daughter has motivated me in so many ways hence the reason for my desire to finish my degree program. I aspire to some day own my own business as an entrepreneur once I can figure out a lucrative business idea which I'm passionate about! I'm looking to learn more about the principles and founding concept of Finance. I would like to increase my knowledge in this area. If any one has some helpful time management skills to offer I am all ears. As a full time mom, student and employee it's not always easy to make time. I wish everyone a successful semester and I look forward to reading your intros and learning more about the class.
