1. Sample, population, frame. You are doing some serious statistical research on

Wu-Tang Clan.

You collect observations from the following set: RZA, GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Justin Bieber, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Bruno Mars, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa. Is this set the population, sample, or a frame? Explain your answer.

Sample, because each persons are indivisual, and it is not cluster (only a few people are in the sample) , and it is not frame if the collect observations need to be a frame, they need to explain about the subject, which is based on that.

2. Descriptive, predictive, prescriptive analysis. You write three short memos containing analysis of Wu-Tang Clan data. For each memo, decide which type of statistical analysis it is.

- first, you address the fact that while some members, such as RZA and Method Man are doing mighty fine, the others, like U-God, are not exactly paragons of wealth and fame.

- then you show that if a musician cares about his long-term career outcome, they might benefit from taking over the production and marketing duties on the collective's records.

- finally, you explore the possibility that career outcomes of Wu-Tang Clan members might have predictive power for similar musical acts such as Mumford and Sons and Maroon 5.
