1. So what do you do with 15 year olds like this? The US juvenile justice system no longer allows them to be sentenced to death, or even life without parole. Does this case warrant such a response? Are these kids capable of being rehabilitated? Society's primary responsibility is self-preservation, these kids violated the social contract to the extreme. Say you want them free before they die in prison, will you let them live next door to you, or with you? Go to school with your kids? Will YOU take responsibility for their actions and suffer the consequences for their misdeeds? Will you 'put your money where your mouth is'? Or just let others take the risk? 2. Examine the UN Fact Sheet on Juvenile Justice What makes up the UN's "holistic approach" to juvenile justice? What are key elements to the World Programme of Action for Youth? Will the holistic approach and WAY be equally successful in each of the Model countries? Discuss.

3. Age has historically been used to determine whether someone should be responsible for his or her behavior. Do you think this is the best method? Any other ideas? List and rank relative to their level of usefulness the three main philosophies of dealing with juveniles. Be able to support your position.
