1. The team did not work because of a lack of clear goals, poor communication, lack of trust, and ineffective leadership. The issues that are stopping this team from being effective are that they had three meetings and Eric couldn't get everyone on the same side of an issue. Six of the top-level managers involved seemed determined to turn the company around while the seventh seemed equally determined to sabotage the process. Randy withheld information vital to the group's debates, and coolly denigrated people's comments. 2. Though I believe that Randy was a big problem (he was very arrogant), he wasn't the only problem for the team.
