1. Topic: The dynamics of food prices: Analysing the factors affecting their demand and supply

This is an important topic in microeconomics. The recent pandemic has affected food prices, but even in normal times several factors affect demand and supply of food items and their prices. You are supposed to search through the internet and collect good recent articles / information on the topic, and analyse, synthesize, and present your findings in a coherent way.

As this is a broad topic, depending on your readings and selection of articles, you may choose one of the followings:

Only a very few factors and discuss them in detail. More factors and make your analysis without going in for too many details of a single factor. To focus on a particular country or look at the world food prices. Only a couple of food items and discuss the dynamics of their prices.
