1. Tyson has been employed by Fury Ltd for a number of years on an annual salary of 24,000. Tyson's employer pays private medical insurance for all of its employees. Tyson's share of the group premium was 220 for the tax year. This would have cost Tyson 350 if he had purchased it himself. Tyson also used his own car for business purposes. In the 2019/20 tax year, Tyson drove 8,000 business miles for which he was reimbursed 32p per mile by his employer. Calculate Tyson's employment income for the 2019/20 tax year. 2. Ali has prepared accounts for the nine months ending 31st March 2020. In this period, Ali purchased the following: (2 marks) Plant and machinery 850,000 The tax written down value of the main pool as at 1st July 2019 is 1,500. Calculate the maximum capital allowances that Ali could claim for the period ending 31st March 2020. (2 marks)
