My independent samples t-test study would examine if going on a brisk 30-minute walk for one weeks improves balance. There would be two groups, one group goes on the brisk walk, the manipulated group, and the other group does not walk 30-minutes, controlled group. The independent variable being if the participant walked. The dependent variable of the study would be the balance of the participants.

2)What's your dependent samples t-test study? Tell me your IV and how you would manipulate the IV, and your DV. This needs to be your own original study idea (and it needs to be the same general topic as your independent samples t-test study).

My dependent samples t-test study would examine if there is an improvement in balance after brisk walking for 30-minutes a day for a week. There will be a pretest, to see their balance level before and a posttest to see if their balance improved. The independent variable would be the walking for 30 minutes and the dependent variable would be if their balance improved after walking for a week.
