1. Yesterday, a friend of yours told you that he is selling his laptop for P8,000. Your friend had bought his laptop for P30,000 three years ago. You are now thinking to buy your friend's laptop since you immediately need one for your summer classes. Your friend also told you that the reason for selling was he's going to buy a new one and the laptop is in good working condition. Will you buy friend's laptop for P8,000? Why or why not?
2. Luffy borrowed P5,000 from his best friend, Zoro, promising to pay on a certain date. On the due date, Luffy was nowhere to be found. Zoro contacted Luffy by all means but to no avail. Zoro was broken-hearted when he found out that Luffy has a history of running away from his debts. A year after the due date, Zoro decided to cancel 50% of his collectible amount from Luffy believing that Luffy will not pay anymore the full amount. If you are Zoro, will you do the same (writing off the 50% of the receivable from Luffy)? Why or why not?
