This same lens is placed on an optics bench as shown in Figure 10.3-1. Once a clear image is located, the object position is recorded to be (10.0+0.05) cm , the image position is (1 10.010.05) cm , and the lens position is (98.5+1.0) cm . A) Calculate the focal length of this lens (including uncertainty). B) Compare this focal length with the measured focal length? 2) A spherical mirror is placed on the optics bench as shown in Figure 10.3-2. Once a clear image is located, the object position is recorded to be (10.0+0.05) cm, the image position is (68.1+1.0) cm, and the mirror position is (80.010.05) cm. A) Calculate the radius of curvature of the spherical mirror (including uncertainty). B) Compare this radius with the accepted value of R = 20.0cm .
