(15 pts) You are asked to calculated the force-couple resultant at a reference point A from forces acting on a wall structure ABCD below. The forces consist of: 1) force Pcy acting at point C in the negative y-direction, 2) force PDz acting at point D in the positive z-direction, and 3) force PBE acting at point B along line BE. The coordinates of point B and E as well as the dimensions of the wall is given in the figure below. Calculate the force-couple resultant at point A (FA and MA) from these three forces. Express this force and couple in vector notation. Use these numerical values for the forces: Pcy = 50 kips, PDz = 100 kips, and PBE = 70 kips. Z 10 ft Pcy = 50 kips 70(6) -770(-2) B(0,0,6) ft 70(3) PBE 70 ps Cxyz) A 6 ft X P D= = 100 kips (2) E (-2,3,0) ft also need to solve for the simplest resultant and its location on the x-z plane
