In order to evaluate whether or not electric cars are actually more "green" for the environment, it is important to research the aspects of an electric car that make it green.
For example, throughout an electric car's lifetime, it will pollute the environment less than the traditional gas car. However, manufacturer's and factories that produce the batteries and other parts of an electric car may pollute the environment enough to outweigh the car's lifetime of "saving the environment."
So the question stands, is the pollution from an electric car's total lifetime and creation less than that of a traditional gas car?
Data from the U.S. Department of Energy states that the total pollution (C02) emitted from an electric car's lifetime on average is about 2,817 pounds (AFDC, 2022).
On the other hand, to create an electric car takes an average of 19,400 pounds of pollution (Atlas, 2021).
Next, it is important to compare the total pollution emission from a traditional gas car.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, a traditional gas car emits an average of 12,594 pounds of C02 per year (AFDC, 2022).
Additionally, to create a traditional gas car, a total of 12,345 pounds of C02 is emitted (LowCVP, 2021).
After adding up the totals, electric cars emitted a total of 22,217 pounds of C02 from creation throughout their lifecycle, and 24.939 from traditional gas cars. From the numbers, we can see that electric cars commit to less pollution, but not by much. However, this does not include C02 emissions from powerplants and other power grids that fuel/charge electric cars. This means that, without further improvements to electric cars in the portion of manufacturing and maintenance, they are not as "green" as intended.
Many of Audi's marketing strategies utilize the Audi brand as its strength to draw in consumers. Rather, there seems to be no noticeable commitment towards further improvements in research and development in the case of creating more "green" electric cars. Instead, Audi's marketing strategy boasts of luxury and things such as "exclusive" Audi brand charging stations. In a sense, it is fine to keep moving forward with this marketing strategy. Although this marketing strategy may not fit well with some public opinion that electric cars are made for the sole purpose of being "green." Audi instead markets its electric cars in the sense of "luxury." Rather, Audi markets to its customer base that is already a returnee to the brand and seeks out the most comfort for their coin. Whatever gets the job done and draws in customers, you know?

In June 2022, Nissan and Wallbox ( an electric vehicle charging solutions provider ) joined to provide electric car owners with a convenient one-stop shop for their home charging requirements. Nissan aims to build a cleaner society by being carbon neutral and reducing emissions. Its electric vehicle lineup releases zero CO2 emissions and particles.
The second step is researching the dubious reality of eclectic vehicles ( are they green?)
Electric Vehicle battery production can impact the environment but decrease biodiversity, air pollution, and desired freshwater supply.Electric vehicle batteries comprise nickel, lithium, combat, and other energy-intensive materials, that are not designed to be recycled.
To conclude, I would set goals to ensure eclectic cars are eco-friendly with further innovation and sustainable energy sources. Many technical advances include reduced emissions and decreased noise pollution, and no transportation is required to fuel. Lastly, the affordability and convenience they contribute.
