OPTION 1: What is globalization\":I I Globalization to me is where people from o'dr'ier countries come together and work together or buying and selling from each other to get the goods that they need. This has been ha pening for thousands of years. Silk Road would probably be the most linowiedgeable one. Nowadays there are theories on why globalization exists and l have picked the WorldSystem and World Culture Theories. - Firstly. lwill look at World-System and why 1 disagree with this as this affect the whole world that we live in. from what I read. 1 see that countries that have good economies. have good industries and have enough taxes to support themselves. such as American. UK. and Australia are called core countries. The next group are called periphery countries where the country may not have a strong government. these countn'es depend on one source of economy. such as raw materials extraction examples of these countries are Latin America. Africa and Asian and the third group are called semi- peripheryr such as India and Brazil. these countries are moving up in the diversity and their economies are growing. To me. this means that stronger countries will - push there manufacturing plants to countn'es that are able to produce goods char er which can boost that countries economy but. this does mean that t e people from that country are paid very well and in some instances. these countries are taken advantage off. As these countries are not of the same standard. I Now why I agree with the World Culture theory because I think that people should be able to go to other places. which gives them the op ortohity to see the world. ain new knowledge and learn new cu tures and see how these cu tures are different from theirs. This means that when they go back to their original country. they can take this information back or bring their family to the new country so their families can experience this new culture
